The Strategic Sourcing Director is responsible for developing and leading a comprehensive, global sourcing strategy that drives cost efficiencies and margin improvement, optimizes supplier relationships, mitigates risks, and enhances value across the entire supply chain. RESPONSIBILITIES: Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a global sourcing strategy aligned with the company's long-term goals and operational efficiency targets driving cost efficiency, risk mitigation, and long-term value creation for the company and investors. Supplier Relationship Management: Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with key global suppliers, ensuring optimal performance, innovation, and value delivery. Negotiation & Contract Leadership: Lead high-stakes supplier negotiations to secure favorable terms, achieve cost-saving targets, and ensure compliance with legal and business requirements. Risk Management & Compliance: Develop and implement supplier risk management strategies, including supply chain contingency plans, compliance with regulations, and risk mitigation frameworks to ensure business continuity. Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Champion continuous improvement programs across the sourcing function, driving innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence in collaboration with suppliers. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with key internal stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with product innovation, operational goals, and financial targets. Market Intelligence & Analysis: Conduct advanced market and supplier analysis to stay ahead of industry trends, technological advancements, and geopolitical risks affecting the supply chain. Team Leadership & Development: Lead and develop a high-performing sourcing team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional growth. Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement: Prepare and present comprehensive reports and recommendations on sourcing performance, risks, and opportunities to senior management and the board of directors. Systems & Technology: Drive the adoption of procurement technologies and tools to enhance strategic sourcing processes, data visibility, and decision-making capabilities. COMPETENCIES: STRATEGIC THINKING: Ability to analyze complex situations, anticipate future trends, and develop long-term plans and initiatives aligned with organizational goals. EFFECTIVE EXECUTION: Ability to efficiently and successfully implement plans, initiatives, and projects to achieve objectives. TEAMWORK AND COLLABORATION: Ability to work effectively with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders to achieve common goals and drive organizational success. SOURCING STRATEGIES: Ability to develop and execute comprehensive sourcing plans to optimize costs, mitigate risks, and drive value across the supply chain. SUPPLIER RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT: Ability to effectively manage relationships with key suppliers to optimize value, mitigate risks, and drive continuous improvement. NEGOTIATION: Ability to effectively communicate, persuade, and reach mutually beneficial agreements with suppliers. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Bachelor’s degree. Minimum 5 years of experience in Strategic Sourcing and/or Procurement. Proficiency in problem-solving and decision-making techniques with a strong understanding of contracting and negotiating principles. Knowledgeable in the sourcing process - able to leverage experience and knowledge from previous projects. Thorough understanding of Total Cost of Ownership analytics and drivers. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with constant deadlines and deliverables. Computer literacy with a proficiency in computer-based analytical and communication tools (Excel & PowerPoint). Quick learner with interest in understanding and applying supplier best practices. Excellent organization, communication, and presentation skills. Innovative, self-motivated and ability to work with minimal supervision along with strong leadership, management, and interpersonal skills.
