Senior Manager, Operations & Maintenance role at X-energy. This position is responsible for directly supporting Operations & Maintenance (O&M) senior leadership, managing the programmatic activities required to achieve Operational Readiness for X-energy developed technologies. The role focuses on the execution and coordination of Operational Readiness Program activities that contribute to readiness for startup and sustained operations. The position requires direct management of project tasks, teams, and deliverables across one or more projects while ensuring alignment with overall O&M objectives, regulatory requirements, and program strategy. The role helps ensure consistency within Operational Readiness program development scope across multiple projects. Job Profile Tasks/Responsibilities
Manage the execution of programmatic activities that support plant Operational Readiness. Support in developing the overall Operational Readiness strategy, with responsibility for applying and implementing requirements across assigned projects. Plan, coordinate, and ensure execution of Operational Readiness assessments, reporting results and recommendations to the leadership. Direct project teams in developing processes, monitoring systems, or technologies (e.g., robotics, sensors) that enhance maintenance, operation, inspection, and readiness verifications. Ensure alignment of the assigned Operational Readiness Program with the Nuclear Safety Philosophy, regulatory requirements, and project needs. Identify and manage technical risks within assigned projects, implementing mitigation actions in coordination with leadership. Support regulatory readiness activities, including preparation of documentation, coordination of evidence for inspections/audits, and interface with regulatory bodies (e.g., NRC or international equivalents). Provide direct management support to Engineering and/or Program Managers to ensure client requirements and readiness deliverables are met. Lead day-to-day oversight of assigned staff, including goal setting, workload coordination, coaching, and performance feedback; support the Director in higher-level personnel actions (hiring, termination, disciplinary actions). Foster cross-functional collaboration in a matrixed project environment. Maintain customer/owner relationship within assigned project scope. Maintain professional demeanor and communication across all interactions. Perform other duties as assigned. Job Profile Minimum Qualifications
B.S. in Engineering or similar technical field. Typically, twelve or more years of experience and/or exposure to systems at an operational nuclear facility, or at least ten years of experience at a large industrial facility. Ten or more years of experience working with a multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced environment. Experience in executing technical contract management tasks (specification, bid, review, recommendation/award, submittal review, change management, contract closeout). Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and manage deliverables within a matrixed organization. Familiarity with nuclear regulatory frameworks and processes, including readiness reviews, licensing basis, and regulatory inspections (NRC or international equivalent). Proficient in systems engineering, functional analysis, and requirements management. Location:
