We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Director of Operations to help oversee and improve the day-to-day activities of our drywall and construction projects.
This role will work closely with leadership, project managers, and field teams to ensure jobs run smoothly, budgets stay on track, and quality standards are met.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination & Execution: Partner with Project Managers to support smooth project flow, resource allocation, and subcontractor coordination. Project Coordination & Execution: Help maintain project schedules, monitor progress, and assist in meeting deadlines. Project Coordination & Execution: Identify and address potential project risks by keeping an eye on materials, staffing, and site readiness. Project Coordination & Execution: Support job site quality control and adherence to company standards. Technical & Design Support: Review shop drawings with drafters and engineers for accuracy and compliance with specifications. Technical & Design Support: Apply knowledge of drywall systems, light gauge framing, and metal trusses to assist in project planning. Technical & Design Support: Interpret 2D blueprints and provide input to anticipate construction challenges. Budget & Cost Management: Monitor project budgets in coordination with leadership and project teams. Budget & Cost Management: Assist estimators in identifying scope gaps and reviewing project bids. Budget & Cost Management: Suggest cost-effective approaches without compromising quality or safety. Operational Processes & Efficiency: Help develop and refine workflows to improve productivity and reduce waste. Operational Processes & Efficiency: Support inventory management to ensure materials and equipment are available when needed. Operational Processes & Efficiency: Recommend process improvements to leadership for review and implementation. Team Support & Development: Provide guidance and day-to-day support to project teams, promoting collaboration and accountability. Team Support & Development: Assist in onboarding, training, and performance feedback processes. Team Support & Development: Build positive relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with general contractors, architects, and clients to ensure repeat business and long-term partnerships. Client Relationship Management: Act as the primary point of contact for clients during project execution, providing updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring satisfaction. Skills & Qualifications
Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to work across multiple projects while keeping attention to detail. Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and load calculations. Solid understanding of construction best practices and safety requirements, familiarity with OSHA. Budgeting and cost-control knowledge. Education & Experience
Minimum of 10 years in commercial Framing & Drywall Structural Metal Framing Crane Setups Interior Metal Framing Insulation & Sound Systems / Assemblies Acoustical Ceilings Contract / Legal reviews are a plus Certifications are a plus Growth Potential
This role is designed with a clear path to a Vice President of Operations position. The company offers a pay range of $110,000.00/yr - $130,000.00/yr and a bonus structure based on performance. The company also offers benefits including 401K and holidays.
