Demonstrate mechanical ability and capability to work on equipment such as washer/extractors and dryers; refrigeration and heating units; ice machines; minor plumbing; minor electrical tasks; carpentry and painting; and related maintenance duties. ELECTRICAL DUTIES: Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues including wall switches, interior/exterior lighting, receptacles, resident call systems, control devices, laundry and kitchen equipment. STRUCTURAL DUTIES: Plan, order, and install cabinets for apartment remodeling; perform carpentry such as repairing/replacing sheetrock and structural materials. PAINTING DUTIES: Plan, order, and perform interior/exterior painting; dispose of materials per EPA guidelines. PLUMBING DUTIES: Plan, order, and perform minor plumbing problems including repairing faucets, showers, drains, and related issues. Conduct daily inspection of the property’s exterior grounds and address items to keep the property tour-ready. Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent Prefer two years in building maintenance/housekeeping with knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and structural matters; building construction knowledge is helpful Prefer one year of supervisory/management experience Ability to safely operate a wide variety of equipment and tools Knowledge of assisted living and dementia care theory and practices Ability to work with seniors and interact patiently with cognitively impaired individuals Flexibility, adaptability, decision-making under pressure, and task prioritization Criminal background check and health screenings (including TB) COVID-19 or other PPE requirements as per regulatory guidelines Pay Range: $29 - $31/hr Company and Employment Details
