The hotel aims to provide modern luxury, culture, and a rich history in the Wharf neighborhood. About The Food & Beverage Outlet Manager Position

As our Food & Beverage Outlet Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our restaurant/bar. You will develop and implement strategies to improve the F&B outlet's profitability while ensuring guest satisfaction in accordance with hotel standards. You will work closely with the food & beverage/culinary team and employees to successfully execute all restaurant operations, while complying with government health, safety, and other requirements. Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be: People Manage everyday activity, plan and assign work ensuring you always have the right staffing numbers Develop your team and improve their performance through coaching and feedback, and create performance and development goals for colleagues Train colleagues to ensure they deliver with compliance and to the standards we expect Recommend or initiate HR actions where needed Guest Experience Ensure all food & beverage equipment is in operational condition and regularly cleaned Ensure all F&B facilities including banquet/convention spaces are clean and properly stocked; notify engineering of maintenance needs Establish and achieve quality and guest satisfaction goals; assist guests with requests and complaints while maintaining high guest satisfaction Responsible Business Manage hotel F&B marketing programmes and participate in system-wide F&B marketing programmes Monitor competitor activity and industry innovation; review and approve menu design with the Executive Chef Ensure food and drinks are stored safely and stock is replenished to minimise waste Handle F&B inventory procedures and determine minimum/maximum stock levels Perform other ad-hoc duties as needed Financial Help prepare the hotel’s annual budget and departmental goals Monitor budget and control expenses with focus on F&B and labour costs Identify additional sales opportunities to enhance revenue Drive promotions that deliver great dining experiences at good value Ensure secure handling of credit and financial transactions Accountabilities This is the top F&B role in the hotel, supervising a large number of team members in one or two outlets and potentially banquet facilities. Direct, coach, and develop a team of hospitality professionals Deliver exceptional guest and corporate experiences by setting high standards and seeking ways to exceed them Manage F&B standards to support responsible business practices Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or higher in Hotel Management, culinary arts, or related field Knowledge and experience in restaurant and bar operations Experience in large-volume F&B operations Excellent communication and strong organizational skills Ability to lead a large team and work in a fast-paced environment Ability to multitask What You Can Expect From Us We provide a competitive salary and a wide range of benefits, including room discounts and robust training. Salary range for this role is $80,000.00 to $90,000.00 (Washington, DC). The range and offer may be modified in the future. Pay is based on factors including education, experience, performance, location, and business needs, and this position is eligible for bonus pay. Benefits include paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401k, and more for eligible employees.
