Job Description
The Club Repair Specialist at Roger Dunn Golf Shops is responsible for promoting and maintaining a store culture that is consistent with Worldwide Golf’s values, including the “Sure No Problem” philosophy. This means putting the customer first and doing whatever we can to ensure a memorable and positive customer experience. The Club Repair Specialist performs all club performance modifications according to customer's needs and provides the customer with a superior golf club repair experience by providing product and service recommendations and constructing or modifying golf clubs as needed. Responsibilities include: Operating shop equipment safely by complying with workplace safety programs. Showing accuracy in completing all order forms and repair tags. Measuring lie & loft angles, club height, weight & shaft flex, and making adjustments based on customer needs. Repairing broken clubheads and changing golf club shafts and grips. Demonstrating thorough knowledge of golf club-making and repair techniques, product features, and their benefits. Recognizing and suggesting ways to improve processes once fully trained. Operating general phone systems and basic computer applications. Requirements: Demonstrating knowledge of processing information and merchandise via computer and POS register system; operating and using all equipment necessary to run the store. Demonstrating working knowledge of word-processing, spreadsheet, inventory, Internet, and order processing systems. Freely accessing all areas of the store including sales floor, stock area, and register area by standing, walking, stooping, crawling, climbing, crouching, and kneeling and lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds at any given time. Working varied hours/days as business dictates. Qualifications Desired: Prior golf club repair experience is a plus, but not required (entry-level candidates are welcome to apply!). Knowledge of golf equipment and shafts is preferred, but not required. Experience working in a shop environment and familiarity with basic power tools is preferred, but not required. Knowledge of retail operations is a plus, but not required. We offer paid vacation, 401(k) matching, and health benefits with company contribution to the HSA for full-time employees.
