Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced, results-driven VP of Operations to serve as the #2 leader at our Houston, TX operation. This on-site executive role partners directly with the CEO to drive business performance, lead strategic initiatives, and take ownership of critical operational functions. The successful candidate will assume significant responsibility from day one while positioning themselves to lead a second location or a new business within our growing portfolio. You will own key areas of the business, spearhead growth initiatives, and build up the infrastructure necessary to scale our operations. This role offers a clear path to business ownership and executive leadership for the right entrepreneurial leader who can deliver results while preparing for expanded responsibilities across multiple ventures.

Responsibilities

Strategic Partnership & Executive Development: Partner directly with the CEO to drive strategic decision-making and shape long-term business direction. Lead cross-functional initiatives and take ownership of key strategic projects from conception through execution. Build and maintain strong relationships across the organization to ensure seamless leadership transitions.

Operational Excellence: Assume direct oversight of manufacturing operations, including production, quality control, and supply chain management. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.

Financial Leadership: Develop and manage budgets, financial strategies, and key performance metrics. Monitor and drive financial performance, including revenue growth, expense management, and cash flow optimization. Lead capital allocation decisions and evaluate investment opportunities for maximum ROI.

Team Leadership & Culture: Build, mentor, and lead high-performing teams across all functional areas. Drive a culture of accountability, growth, and ownership throughout the organization. Lead recruiting efforts and talent retention strategies while establishing your leadership presence.

Stakeholder Management & Market Presence: Own relationships with key customers, suppliers, and strategic partners. Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and community initiatives as a senior executive. Monitor market trends, competitive dynamics, and identify strategic opportunities.

Growth & Expansion: Lead evaluation and execution of expansion opportunities, acquisitions, and new market entry strategies. Drive strategic planning initiatives and shape the company's growth trajectory. Position the business for successful expansion into additional markets or business units.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required (Master's degree preferred).

5+ years of proven leadership experience in a manufacturing or operations environment.

Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, think strategically, and execute effectively.

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
