Reporting to the VP of Sales, the Marketing Director will lead our marketing strategy and operations, with P&L responsibility for the marketing budget. This role is pivotal in enhancing brand awareness, developing distinct selling propositions (DSPs) for our sales teams, and aligning marketing efforts with our growth objectives, including our technology initiatives. You'll oversee internal and external communications to reinforce our company culture, while planning and executing initiatives around trade shows, digital campaigns, content creation, social media strategies, and other channels. While our standard business thrives through customer partnerships, this position will focus on targeted spend to maximize ROI, especially in emerging specialty areas and promoting our new custom applications and CRM tools. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Planning and Budget Management: Develop and manage the annual marketing plan and budget, ensuring alignment with company goals for 5x growth over the next decade. Brand Development and Awareness: Lead efforts to increase brand visibility through targeted campaigns, storytelling, and content that highlights our core values, team achievements, brand promise, and technological innovations. Internal and External Messaging: Design and implement communication strategies that celebrate our culture, including employee engagement programs, social media, newsletters, and PR efforts to build loyalty and attract talent. Public Relations and Market Visibility: Execute a PR strategy to boost market presence and establish industry leadership. Product Launch and Trade Show Execution: Spearhead marketing for the 2026 new product line, including trade show participation, promotional materials, and launch events. Technology Integration and Promotion: Collaborate with development teams to market our custom applications, CRM system, and data preservation tools. Social Media Strategy: Leverage social media platforms to differentiate our brand from competitors, creating engaging, platform-specific content that highlights our culture, innovations, and industry leadership. Growth Support: Collaborate with sales and specialty teams to identify marketing avenues that support expansion. Team Leadership: Build and mentor a high-performing marketing team, fostering a collaborative environment that aligns with our company culture. Performance Metrics and Analysis: Establish KPIs to measure marketing effectiveness, including social media engagement metrics, and provide data-driven insights to senior leadership for continuous improvement. Requirements Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field. 8+ years of progressive marketing experience, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role, preferably in manufacturing, construction, or B2B industrial sectors with a technology component. Proven track record of managing P&L for marketing budgets and delivering measurable results in brand growth, awareness, and technology promotion. Experience with product launches, trade show management, developing DSPs for sales teams, and marketing tech innovations. Strong understanding of B2B marketing channels, including digital, content, PR, social media, and events, with a focus on ROI optimization and integrating technology narratives. Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to craft messaging that resonates internally and externally, including around technological advancements. Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and thrive in a growth-oriented, culture-driven environment with ongoing tech initiatives. Preferred Skills: Familiarity with manufacturing or industrial markets, including pre-engineered buildings or metal components, and experience promoting tech tools in B2B settings.
