Position Summary Reporting to the Executive Director of Development and Strategic Initiatives, the Assistant Director of Annual Giving is responsible for increasing annual support and participation from alumni, parents, and friends. The incumbent will proactively work to help build the law school’s future major gift prospect pipeline. This position requires travel and some evening and weekend hours for events.
Essential Functions
Maintains a portfolio of up to 150 Annual Giving prospects.
Devises individual engagement strategies with the goal of soliciting annual gifts at the $1,000, $2,500, and $5,000 level+, and/or multi-year gift commitments of $25,000+, with specific solicitation goals determined in an annual goal-setting process.
Assists with various projects, including stewardship efforts, campaign initiatives, endowment reports, and scholarship benefactor outreach, as needed.
Identifies and segments donors interested in new giving opportunities.
Participates in University, DAUR, Law School, and Departmental activities and events, including dinners, receptions, and alumni campus visits as assigned.

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in development, business, sales, or a related industry.
Required Knowledge and Skills
Demonstrated successful track record in solicitation efforts and advancing donors through the pipeline.
Demonstrated understanding of annual giving strategies, constituencies, methods, metrics, and best practices.
Strong communication skills, high attention to detail and follow-up, and excellent organizational and project management skills.
Ability to confidently and comfortably engage with and solicit diverse constituencies.
Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; expertise in Google Suite, including Gmail merges, and familiarity with database applications.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with SAP Concur, Zoom Software, CRM Advance, and Blackbaud Fundraiser Performance Management (FPM).
Compensation Minimum Starting Salary
$75,000
Maximum Starting Salary
$80,000
