Boutique Hospitality Marketing & Sales Manager Dynamic sales and marketing manager for boutique hospitality portfolio Seeking an experienced and dynamic sales and marketing manager to lead growth of boutique hospitality portfolio. This role will be responsible for building out the sales, marketing and brand development functions across a diverse set of assets, including high end lodging, restaurants, and unique special event venues owned by Expedition Partners LLC. Position will require marketing to and collaborating with direct consumers as well as B2B marketing, facilitation and relationship development. The successful candidate will create and manage on-site events, and market through a broad range of outlets including traditional advertising, social media, booking sites, travel and restaurant PR. Should have experience ranging from creative event development and management, social media marketing and SEO, understanding of travel marketing booking tools, industry organizations and trade shows, etc. This is an opportunity to shape and scale the marketing vision for a unique and growing portfolio of iconic properties throughout the country. This role requires managing multiple functions simultaneously, including:
Marketing Strategy & Brand Development, Content Creation & Digital Management, Sales Growth & Business Development, Event Planning & On-Site Coordination, Community Engagement & Performance Analysis, Budget & Resource Oversight, Lodging Bookings & Revenue Growth, Public Relations & Media Outreach, Social Media Management, Digital & Website Management Key Responsibilities
Consistently conceive of, promote and manage creative special events at properties to drive awareness as well as support revenue growth Drive brand growth through targeted regional and national outreach campaigns aimed at increasing market exposure Employ storytelling, media relations, and experiential marketing to establish the properties as premier culinary and hospitality destinations Generating marketing campaigns (+ seasonal trends), securing media coverage in high-profile publications, managing influencer and PR relationships, and aligning digital and on-site branding to attract culinary and travel clientele Identify and develop new revenue streams by promoting the business to B2B event planners, wedding professionals, and corporate clients, as well as directly to consumers, to secure bookings for meetings, events, and weddings Build and scale a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy to support a multi-property boutique hospitality brand in active growth mode Elevate property visibility and desirability to firmly establish them as sought-after destinations within the hospitality and travel market Market and book out lodging rooms and dining reservations to Midwest travel consumers Email marketing & hard card marketing Develop and grow the sales and marketing function for boutique hospitality company with multiple new and developing properties Creating strong media contacts and buzzworthy narratives that resonate with both local and national (global) audiences Creating and implementing a marketing strategy Developing and execute integrated marketing campaigns to elevate brand awareness and drive both restaurant and lodge bookings Identifying and promoting unique selling points that differentiate the property in competitive hospitality and culinary markets Collaborating with leadership and Chef to create seasonal, event-based, or experiential marketing opportunities Training staff and leadership on increased engagement and best practices Implement targeted strategies to increase direct bookings for the lodge, including SEO/SEM, retargeting ads, email marketing, and OTA channel optimization Track performance metrics related to occupancy, conversion rates, and ROI of marketing initiatives Create partnerships with travel agents, event planners, travel and destination partners and tourism boards to drive bookings Pitch stories and coordinate press visits to secure earned media coverage in high-end culinary, lifestyle, and travel publications Build and maintain relationships with journalists, influencers, and media professionals Write and distribute compelling press releases, media kits, and promotional content Manage comprehensive policies and procedures for hospitality arm Oversee the development of platform-specific content calendars to ensure consistent, strategic messaging across Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, and more Create and curate visually compelling, brand-aligned content including photos, videos, and behind-the-scenes storytelling Oversee and organize the marketing budget, covering traditional and guerrilla marketing efforts as well as strategic investment opportunities Develop and implement a social media program to monitor engagement, deliver thoughtful responses to comments and messages, and analyze performance metrics to optimize reach and interaction Oversee updates to all property websites to ensure current offers, press mentions, events, and lodging availability are accurately presented Coordinate with web developers/designers as needed to improve web and booking performance Awareness of clientele and market research. Encourage user-generated content by developing programs/perks for tagging and posting Maintain awareness of clientele through market research and maintain/refine rapport with local media, businesses, vendors and Chambers/Counties Frequent travel to destinations to promote events, coordinate on-site activities, and develop plans Targets / Goals
Establish properties as Luxury destinations / Branding Increased lodge bookings, restaurant revenue, and special event revenue Define & design targets for performance growth across all properties High impact press coverage Social media expansion / growth Relais and Chateaux recognition across all properties Exposure for wine list / fine dining experiences Driving visibility, reputation, and revenue across all properties Qualifications and Skills
Highly resourceful and adaptable Multi-tasking self-starter Hospitality social media & PR experience Generative personality, willing to do market research and explore various methodologies to problem solve Excellent writing and communication skills, focusing on luxury branding and storytelling Travel marketing connections / Press connections Proficiency in digital marketing tools (Meta Business Suite, Google Ads, Mailchimp, etc.) Knowledge of SEO/SEM best practices and online booking platforms (e.g., Resy, OpenTable, Lodgify, etc.) Highly organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
