Security Guard Flex - Armed Government Site at Allied Universal, San Francisco, CA. This role offers flexible part-time shifts through our exclusive Claim a Shift platform, allowing you to build a schedule that works for you and gain site experience across various industries. Position type: Flex. Pay rate: $33.06 per hour. Job schedule: Daytime to nighttime shifts available (e.g., 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM). What You’ll Do
Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites. Support operations across environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education. Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams. Deliver a consistent, professional security presence and customer service. Fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise. Responsibilities
Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies; assist with emergency response as appropriate. Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and effectively. Conduct regular and random patrols to deter unauthorized activity and suspicious behavior. Observe and report unusual activity or security concerns to appropriate personnel. Assist visitors and employees with directions and information while maintaining a professional presence. Follow all site-specific protocols and instructions from Allied Universal and client site management. Complete required reports and documentation accurately and timely. What We’re Looking For
Availability across various days and shifts. Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments. A drive to gain broad experience and grow within the company. Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available. Minimum Requirements
Graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent. 1+ year of law enforcement experience, or 2+ years of security supervisor/manager experience, or 3+ years of security-related experience. An armed guard card or license is required. Handcuffing certification and baton certification are preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. High school diploma or equivalent. Background check in accordance with all applicable laws; Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories. Drug screen where permitted by law. Participation in industry-specific security-related training programs; licensing requirements may apply by location. A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only. Why Join Us
