The Research Associate will support Preclinical Development and Engineering R&D to advance preclinical CellFX System applications toward clinical use and commercialization. Responsibilities include organizing animal lab supplies and forms, set-up and break-down of equipment, and operation of the CellFX unit during studies. The role involves data recording, handling, and digitization during and after animal studies, with basic report writing after each lab to memorialize activities. Work with the Engineering department to perform validation studies of new CellFX applicators for use in multiple tissue types. To Make An Impact, You Will

Ensure supplies, equipment, and paperwork are brought to every preclinical animal lab. Set up and break down all equipment for each study. Regularly inventory lab consumables and source additional units to keep labs resourced. Ensure all written, electronic, photographic, and video data required to document a study is captured. Follow Good Data Practices (GDP) for data acquisition. Digitize and organize all study materials promptly after each study. Write timely reports summarizing each study, including important findings. Assist Engineering in performing validation testing of new devices to meet product specifications. Identify and implement workflow improvements in the Preclinical Department to meet deadlines and keep data organized and accessible. Collaborate with Preclinical and Engineering teams to align timelines and goals on interdepartmental projects. Drive to meet deadlines as an individual contributor and team member. Qualifications

BS Degree in Engineering, Biology, or related field preferred. 2+ years of relevant research experience. In vivo research experience required. Large animal research experience preferred. Medical device and/or pharmaceutical industry experience preferred. Experience with pulsed-energy or other tissue ablation technologies a plus. Startup environment experience a plus. Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; Photoshop, SmartSheet a plus. Basic knowledge of DSLR photography and/or video equipment a plus. Excellent oral and written communication, critical thinking, and ability to work with minimal direction. Excellent time management and teamwork; adaptable to changing priorities. Ability to travel up to 20% of the time. Overnight travel may be required. Ability to lift at least 20 pounds. Pay Range

Compensation is determined based on location, skills, experience, education, and training. This pay range is specific to Northern California: Base salary range $30.00 - $38.00 per hour. Equal Employment Opportunity
