Fabrication Technician
role at
Solcoa Industries . Base pay range $100,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr Making the Metals Powering the World Solcoa exists to stabilize the western rare-earth metal supply chain—powering every fighter jet, EV, wind turbine, phone, and generator. We’re among the very few companies outside China producing rare-earth metals—and the only one delivering a 100% U.S. supply of both light and heavy rare earths. Our carbon-zero process converts end-of-life magnets directly into metal, ready to accelerate energy independence and secure one of the world’s most vital resources. We are a lean, well-funded team rapidly accelerating Western rare-earth production. We’re building a world-class team to solve this crisis. The Role — Technician (TIG Welding, Fabrication & Assembly)
Build the hardware that powers our plants. You’ll fabricate parts, TIG-weld assemblies, operate machine-shop tools, and assemble/commission reactor and support equipment. You bring discipline, craftsmanship, and a safety-first mindset to every task. What You’ll Do
TIG weld stainless, carbon, and specialty alloys; prep joints, fit-up, and perform clean, repeatable welds. Fabricate brackets, frames, enclosures, and fixtures from prints—cutting, bending, drilling, tapping, and finishing. Operate machine shop tools (mills, lathes, drill presses, bandsaws, grinders) for basic machining and rework. Assemble mechanical and pneumatic subsystems: flanges, seals, valves, fittings, sensors, and wiring harness routing. Read and mark up drawings; hold tolerances; verify dimensions with calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Execute SOPs for build, inspection, leak checks, and pressure tests; document work. Support prototype builds and on-the-floor debug; implement quick-turn fixes and continuous improvements. Maintain a clean, organized shop; enforce safety practices for hot work, lifting/rigging, and compressed gases. What You Bring
Required Proven TIG welding skill on thin sheet and tube (stainless preferred); strong fit-up and finish quality. Hands-on fabrication experience and proficiency with common shop tools. Ability to read mechanical drawings and follow detailed build procedures. Disciplined, reliable execution—on spec, on time, with excellent documentation. Comfort working independently in a fast-paced, hardware-first environment. Availability to start soon. Preferred Experience assembling industrial equipment, reactors, furnaces, or vacuum components. Basic machining experience (manual mill/lathe) and simple CAD familiarity for markups. Certifications in welding or safety (e.g., AWS, OSHA 10/30) are a plus. Compensation & Benefits
Competitive base salary Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance Company-provided lunch daily Visa sponsorship available if needed Compensation Range: $100K - $150K
