Position Summary The Los Rios Community College District is seeking qualified candidates for this part-time, temporary (Adjunct) faculty position. Adjunct positions are filled as needed through ongoing recruitment. Applicants are contacted and hired year-round based on college needs. This pool is open continuously and refreshed every two years. Applicants in this pool will remain active for two years. After two years, applicants will receive an email with information on how to remain in the pool. The adjunct faculty member shall be responsible for providing direct patient care under the supervision of the area dean, helping students fulfill their potential, assessing student learning outcomes, maintaining up-to-date knowledge in their field, continuing professional development, utilizing current technology, maintaining professional conduct and ethics, assisting with curriculum development, serving on college committees, participating in faculty governance, and other responsibilities as assigned. Position Salary Information Initial maximum salary placement is based on academic degree, upper/graduate level units earned, and related professional experience. The initial maximum placement is Class V, Step 1. For more information, please refer to the detailed salary structure. Typical Duties Under the supervision of the Dean, duties may include assessing and evaluating health status, collaborating with college departments, providing confidential health counseling, working with the Health & Wellness Center staff, maintaining liaison with community health agencies, protecting the well-being of students and staff, establishing standards for medical care, conducting health education programs, serving as a health consultant, assisting in creating a safe environment, reviewing health programs, developing new initiatives, monitoring existing services, managing reports and budgets, participating in staff development, documenting patient records, and other related duties. Minimum Qualifications Master’s degree in nursing and a California Public Health Nurse certificate; OR Bachelor’s degree in nursing, a California Public Health Nurse certificate, AND a Master’s degree in health education, sociology, psychology, counseling, health care administration, public health, or community health; OR equivalent. All degrees must be from an accredited institution completed by the time of hire. Valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license.
