PEAK6
Overview
PEAK6 Capital Management is a proprietary options trading firm that has been defining the industry for more than 25 years. We provide liquidity to the options market and leverage a data-centric approach to stay ahead of the markets. Our success is driven by technologists, engineers, and traders who leverage proprietary tech to maintain inventory and support customers.
About This Role We are seeking an Education Specialist to join our Trading Education team. This role directly impacts the growth and evolution of future traders at PEAK6. You’ll work with business stakeholders and trading leaders to design, build, and deliver content and learning experiences that bridge theory and real-world trading. In the first 6 months, you’ll learn our business, products, and strategies through our Trading Associate (TA) program—including Series 57 licensing, and eventually Series 24 for future people management. You’ll help run our TA programs and manage trading bootcamps and internships.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to conduct learning needs analysis for trading education programs.
Translate business requirements into actionable curriculum maps and engaging educational content for a variety of program types (bootcamps, internships, entry-level roles).
Build, adapt, and deliver learning modules focused on trading, emphasizing options trading fundamentals: identifying, evaluating, and executing trades.
Manage and help deliver core programs, including scheduling, content deployment, participant tracking, and feedback collection.
Serve as a subject matter expert in instructional design, continually improving program materials based on data, learner feedback, and evolving business needs.
Receive hands-on training in PEAK6 proprietary strategies and systems; ultimately co-facilitate or lead trading education sessions as part of your growth plan.
Work toward and obtain Series 57; become eligible for Series 24 to support program management and personnel development.
Your Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Master’s of Education is highly preferred.
0–3 years of professional experience in education or curriculum design.
Prior experience building learning content (even at the academic level) and/or conducting training needs analysis.
Strong interest in options trading and trade decision-making.
Excellent communication, instructional design, and project management skills.
Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional business partners and subject matter experts.
Adaptability and curiosity; excited to learn trading strategies and licensing requirements.
Willingness to work onsite in Chicago.
Preferred
Exposure to options trading or capital markets is a plus.
Experience teaching, mentoring, or facilitating in-person or virtual learning sessions.
Our Rewards We offer a robust package of employee perks and benefits, including healthcare benefits (medical, dental and vision, EAP), competitive PTO, 401k match, parental leave, and HSA contribution match. We also provide our employees with a paid subscription to the Calm app and offer generous external learning and tuition reimbursement benefits. As a hybrid workforce, we offer our employees the ability to work remotely up to two days a week.
Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and office location. This position also may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in addition to a range of health & wellness benefits, enhancing your overall compensation package.
Base Salary Range $88,400-$110,500
