Director of Kids Ministry , ministering to children from birth through 5th grade, overseeing kids’ programs and events, and leading kids’ ministry volunteer workers. Keystone Kids exists to serve alongside parents in the discipleship and Scriptural training of their children. Principal Functions:
The Director of Kids leads and oversees children’s discipleship programs, volunteers, and safety, partnering with parents to help make, mature, and multiply our youngest disciples. Qualifications:
Character:
Growing member of Keystone Bible Church (or be willing to become one) who meets the qualifications of deacons in 1 Timothy 3:8-13. Have a clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a growing, personal relationship with Him. Be a member in good standing at Keystone Bible Church, or willing to become one. Be a spiritually mature servant-leader, with passion to serve Christ and His Church. Compatibility:
Embodies the values of Keystone Bible Church. Be willing to submit to and support our doctrine, philosophy, culture, and missional values as well as the visionary leadership and strategies of the Lead Pastor and pastoral team. Chemistry:
Joyfully and effectively works within the organizational structure of Keystone Bible Church. Be a self-starter who pursues excellence with drive, passion and initiative Have a teachable and humble spirit and be willing to be held accountable Be a team player dedicated to serving Christ’s mission with joy. Be a strong communicator and connector with people, committed to multiplying disciples. Have strong organizational and administrative skills and giftedness. Kids Ministry Responsibilities:
Direct a Keystone Kids Leadership Team to oversee and “lead the leaders” of all areas of discipleship programming for kids ages 0-5 th grade. Recruit, train, and provide oversight for all teachers and volunteers needed for Sunday and Wednesday Kids classes, programs, and nursery needs. Evaluate and provide feedback to teachers for personal development and to ensure that ministry philosophy objectives and goals are being reached. Hold periodic meetings for Kids ministry teachers and volunteers. Attend and provide on-site leadership before, during, and afterward for all weekly Kids’ Ministry programs and classes on Sundays and Wednesdays. Oversee the scheduling of all Kids’ ministry teachers and volunteers. Ensure suitable classroom environments for the education of children. Work with the pastors to select and implement discipleship curriculum for each children’s class and program. Disciple and relationally invest in the lives of the children and their parents. Schedule and oversee occasional age-appropriate discipleship events for the children. Attend weekly staff meeting to assess, plan, and report on Kids’ ministry programs and initiatives. Child Protection Responsibilities:
Oversee the safety of all children by implementing and enforcing the practice of policies. Oversee and facilitate Kids’ check-in process for all Kids ministry programs. Facilitate and manage safety training and background checks for all staff and volunteers working with children. Compensation:
