An earned academic doctoral degree from an accredited university (e.g., PhD, EdD, DSC). An active, unencumbered PT license in the US with board certification in PT, and either a NY state license or eligibility for physical therapy licensure in New York state. Qualifications required for appointment to the rank of associate professor or higher. A minimum of 6 years of full-time higher education experience, with a minimum of 3 years of full-time higher education experience as a core faculty member in a CAPTE-accredited entry-level physical therapist education program and familiarity of clinical education and practicum site establishment. Extensive knowledge of and experience with physical therapy accreditation criteria (CAPTE) and state agency regulations. Administrative and/or leadership experience in academic program planning and implementation, personnel management, program assessment, and fiscal management processes.
