Carolinian:US Based Interpreter

Overview We are hiring a US-based interpreter to support remote interpretation between Carolinian and English speakers. The interpreter must process information quickly and accurately in a professional manner. A quiet and secure environment is essential. Note pads, writing utensils, glossaries, and dictionaries are useful tools.

Requirements

90% English proficiency

Steady wired internet connection

USB wired headset

Windows 10 or MacOS

Responsibilities

Answer calls professionally, following the interpreter's code of conduct

Use industry-specific vocabulary, particularly healthcare and medical terminology

Participate in internal professional training

Communicate and report to the team leader

Qualifications

Proficiency or native-level ability in English and the target language

1+ year of interpreting experience (desirable)

High emotional intelligence and tolerance of diverse cultures

Strong communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills
