We are seeking an experienced and skilled Mate - Tankerman to join our team. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of petroleum products across our extensive network of vessels. You will work closely with our Captain and other crew members to execute complex operations, maintain vessel safety, and comply with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

Ensure safe towing and handling of barges, cargo operations, and product transfers Monitor product levels, perform load/discharge planning, and operate various machinery Maintain vessel safety, conduct inspections, and enforce company safety practices Communicate effectively with crew members, foreign crews, and oil facility personnel Assist with vessel maintenance, inventory management, and supply ordering Respond quickly in emergency situations and use emergency equipment as needed

Position Requirements

Valid USCG license with Mate of Towing endorsement Valid STCW endorsements for OICNW, Basic Training, GMDSS, and Vessel Security 2+ years of experience offshore towing as licensed Deck Officer Previous experience as a tank barge PIC on oil barges and PIC endorsement Completion of Coast Guard approved advanced firefighting training Knowledge of Coast Guard and state requirements for transfer operations Excellent verbal and written communication skills Basic math skills and computer knowledge Ability to work well under stress and in a fast-paced environment Willingness to work different schedules, equipment, and regions Valid driver’s license, TWIC Card, and Passport Basic First Aid and CPR Certificate Valid 24 hr HAZWOPER
