Position Summary

As a key member of the Division of Student-Centered Learning, the Senior Director of Accelerated Programs will be responsible for the coordination and expansion of access to rigorous college- and career-level learning opportunities for high school students across the district. This role will lead districtwide strategy for Dual Enrollment (DE), Advanced Placement (AP), and International Baccalaureate (IB) programs while building strong partnerships with higher education institutions, community stakeholders, and school leaders. The Senior Director will ensure accelerated programs are equitably designed, strategically scaled, and deeply connected to the district’s high school redesign priorities. They will serve as the primary advocate and ambassador for advanced learning pathways, engaging families, educators, universities, and community partners to create a culture where all students have access to and thrive in accelerated programs. They will collaborate across central office departments to collect, maintain, and analyze student participation and assessment performance for each program while advising senior leadership of program direction. Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university Educational guidance counseling background highly preferred Demonstrated experience in coordinating post-secondary programs for high school students, such as IB, AP, and Dual enrollment programs Excellent leadership, collaboration, and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels Experience managing large-scale, cross-departmental projects from planning through implementation At least 3 years of successful experience as an administrator and/or equivalent Essential Functions

Strategic Leadership & Vision

Lead the design and execution of a districtwide strategy to expand AP, IB, and Dual Enrollment opportunities, ensuring alignment with the district’s high school redesign initiative. Establish and communicate a clear vision for accelerated learning that inspires educators, families, and students. Develop yearlong sprint goals for college and career readiness that aligns to the district priorities and the graduate profile. Remove barriers to access and increase participation among underrepresented student populations. Stakeholder Engagement & Partnerships

Build and sustain healthy partnerships with colleges, universities, and workforce partners to expand course offerings, certification pathways, and innovative learning experiences. Convene advisory groups alongside district leadership of principals, counselors, families, and students to inform continuous improvement of accelerated programs. Represent the Office of Academics in meetings concerning High School Redesign. Provide updates to Sr. Leadership on the progress of the initiative and necessary action items. Collaborate with internal departments to drive project success and ensure effective implementation of the HS Redesign plan Plan and facilitate professional learning for building leaders around Advanced Placement, Dual Enrollment, and International Baccalaureate programs. Program Oversight & Expansion

Oversee the design, implementation, and monitoring of AP, IB, and Dual Enrollment programs, including articulation agreements, teacher training, and student support. Support senior leadership with expansion of certificate and coursework offerings, including mapping offerings across schools, campuses, and university partners Collaborate with content leads and professional learning teams to deliver targeted development for AP and IB educators. Liase with the Assistant Superintendent of High School Redesign to plan, strategize, and implement the High School Redesign plan. Ensure compliance with state legislation, university partner agreements, and program-specific accreditation requirements. Data Driven Improvement & Accountability

Monitor participation, performance, and postsecondary outcomes for accelerated programs using district and state data systems. Develop clear and concise executive briefings to share progress with senior leadership, school communities, and external partners on progress and student performance. Use data to identify gaps, target interventions, and scale successful practices. Resource Management & Advocacy

Partner with the Senior Executive Director of Student-Centered Learning to develop and steward budgets, grants, and external resources to expand program access and sustainability. Advance a culture of high expectations and inclusivity across all accelerated programs. Collaborate with counselors, teachers, and school leaders to proactively identify students with potential for advanced coursework. Fulfill other duties and responsibilities as assigned Security Clearance Internal Applicants
