Overview
USC's Division of Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy invites applicants for a full-time clinical track faculty position to provide outpatient clinical services in our physical therapy department at Keck Hospital of USC. This position includes direct patient care responsibilities for multiple populations with an emphasis in the cardiovascular and pulmonary service line. This outpatient service line is involved in assessing and making recommendations for patients prior to heart/lung transplant as well as rehabilitating these patients post-transplant. We also treat a multitude of other cardiovascular and pulmonary conditions including cystic fibrosis, idiopathic lung disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, scleroderma, and pulmonary hypertension. Program development will be a focused component of this position and there will also be opportunities for lectures, teaching, clinical research, and mentoring. Responsibilities
Provide outpatient clinical services in the cardiovascular and pulmonary service line within the physical therapy department. Assess and make recommendations for patients prior to heart/lung transplant and rehabilitate these patients post-transplant. Treat a broad range of cardiovascular and pulmonary conditions, including cystic fibrosis, idiopathic lung disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, scleroderma, and pulmonary hypertension. Contribute to program development and growth of services. Engage in opportunities for lectures, teaching, clinical research, and mentoring. Qualifications
Doctoral degree in physical therapy (preferred). Two years of experience treating patients with cardiovascular and pulmonary conditions (preferred). Experience managing patients in the outpatient setting (preferred). Board certification (preferred). Individuals with a Master’s degree will be considered if they have at least three years of relevant experience and expertise. Compensation and Additional Details
The annual base salary range for this position is $72,000 – $100,000.
