This is where you and your skills come in. We are currently looking for:

a DevOps AWS Engineer. You will be responsible for building and maintaining a highly scalable and reliable infrastructure using AWS, Jenkins, GitHub, and Terraform, and monitoring. You will collaborate closely with the development and operations teams to ensure the smooth delivery and deployment of applications. This role requires strong expertise in AWS services, Jenkins for CI/CD, GitHub for source code management, and Terraform for infrastructure provisioning. The ability to architect, collaborate, and be effective is crucial. The ability to influence and mentor stakeholders while being hands-on is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain highly available and scalable infrastructure on AWS.

Architect and maintain application infrastructure.

Collaborate with development teams to define infrastructure requirements and provide guidance on best practices.

Improve the Change management process of the team.

Provide status and effectively communicate to team members and stakeholders.

Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins for efficient application deployment and release management.

Manage and automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform.

Monitor and troubleshoot system and application issues, ensuring high availability and performance.

Implement and maintain monitoring and logging solutions to ensure the health and performance of the infrastructure.

Perform regular system and application security audits and implement necessary measures to protect the environment.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize and improve the software development and deployment processes.

Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in DevOps, SRE, and cloud technologies.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience with AWS.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Strong experience working as a DevOps Engineer or SRE Engineer in a production environment.

Advanced knowledge of AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and CloudFormation.

Expertise in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub.

Solid understanding of source code management with GitHub, including branching, merging, and pull requests.

Hands-on experience with infrastructure provisioning and management using Terraform and Helm.

Basic scripting skills in languages such as Node.JS.

Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms like EKS is a plus.

The ability to present and implement best practices is a key requirement.

Knowledge of networking concepts, load balancing, and security best practices in the cloud environment.

Knowledgeable with monitoring tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Loki Stack.

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Advanced ability in troubleshooting.

Deep understanding of change management and DevOps practices.

Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.

An understanding of infrastructure reliability and resilience.

If you are hired in New York, Maryland, Connecticut, Rhode Island, the compensation range for this position is between $115,000 and $140,000 for full-time employees, in addition to eligibility for variable pay, equity, and benefits. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, health and wellness, 401k, ESPP, vacation, parental leave, and more! The salary may vary depending on your location, skills, and experience.
