Girls Basketball Coach - Grades 4-8

The International School of San Francisco is seeking a Middle School Coach for 2-3 weekday afternoon practices and games on weekday afternoons, evenings, and/or weekends. The season starts on Monday, November 17, 2025, and ends in mid-February 2026. The International School of San Francisco Athletic Department operates within a K-12 independent school setting, working with over 600 students enrolled in grades 5-8. The Jaguar Athletic experience is a journey that aims to be a source of growth, pride, and enthusiasm for all members of the community. Job Duties and Expectations: Administering all levels of the sport as a head coach or assistant coach. Following the procedures of the high school’s athletic program and the International and California Interscholastic Federation. Communication: Providing clear communication to student-athletes and families regarding expectations and philosophy. Seeking resolution in case of conflicts. Player Development: Assisting in the total development of all student-athletes using positive methods. Creating a meaningful practice structure to enhance instruction, development, and effective use of time. Player Evaluation: Using a holistic approach to evaluate student-athletes based on qualities such as skill, character, integrity, leadership, and love for the sport. Selecting student-athletes that best represent the School’s Mission. Team Leadership: Fostering an environment that develops positive leadership qualities both on and off the field. Selecting Team Captains and Student-Athlete Advisory Committee members based on character and leadership ability. Qualifications : Experience coaching at the middle school, high school, college, or club level. Experience working, playing, or coaching in a value-based athletic program. Reliability, promptness, and dependability. Ability to have transportation. Ability to pass a full background check. Applicants should include a letter of interest, current resume, and three references. The salary range for this position is $2,000 - $4,500, depending on experience and team level.
