Overview Geosyntec has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Remediation Engineer or Geologist in the Boca Raton or West Palm Beach, FL area to lead innovative and challenging projects involving contaminated site assessment and remediation for commercial and industrial properties, brownfield redevelopments, and solid waste sites. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Directing, managing, and implementing challenging technical projects involving site investigation and remediation, brownfield redevelopments, and due diligence.

Cultivating relationships with new and existing clients, resulting in expansion of the Firm's current practices and capabilities through new business opportunities.

Maintaining high visibility in the marketplace through regular client contact, participation in client-based professional organizations, and attendance and presentations at industry events.

Supervising and mentoring early career professionals.

Training: OSHA health and safety, first aid, and CPR training and medical monitoring, paid for by the firm. Professional development opportunities include technical conferences, in-house seminars, webinars, and mentoring.

Fieldwork: Up to 20%.

Overnight travel: Up to 30%.

Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or project sites and other business locations as needed.

Education and Licensure

Bachelor's degree in engineering (civil, chemical, or environmental preferred) or geology (required).

Advanced degree in engineering or science (preferred).

Professional registration (P.E. or P.G.) (required).

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

At least 8 years (10+ preferred) of direct environmental consulting experience in the Florida marketplace; or an equivalent combination of education and experience (required).

Deep experience implementing assessment and remediation projects and programs under Chapter 62-780 FAC (required).

Assessment/remediation experience with emerging contaminants and innovative technologies (preferred).

Experience with environmental due diligence and regulatory compliance projects (preferred).

Experience in effective management of projects, including resource allocation, quality, technical oversight, and financial management (required).

Demonstrated success in developing new business and managing clients (preferred).

Experience mentoring and managing professional staff (required).

Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handle multiple project assignments, meet deadlines, and travel to client facilities as needed (required).

Current OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training and refreshers (preferred).

Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing may be required.

Valid U.S. driver's license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel (required).
