eNGINE is hiring a
Websphere Administrator
to join our team in New York City. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, owns complex infrastructure, and has deep expertise in Websphere administration on
mainframe z/OS . You’ll work closely with application teams, provision Websphere infrastructure, and ensure performance, reliability, and security across critical systems. What You’ll Do
Design and implement MQ solutions with application teams. Administer Websphere on
z/OS
and distributed platforms. Configure and support queue sharing groups, clusters, channel authentication, TLS certificates, and stream queues. Support capacity planning, IPL, DR events, and MQ upgrades. Troubleshoot MQ incidents, alerts, and CICS logs. Contribute to change management and DR readiness. What We’re Looking For
8+ years of infrastructure experience with strong focus on MQ 8+ years administering MQ in
z/OS environments Deep knowledge of Queue Sharing Groups, clusters, channel authentication, TLS certificate management Solid understanding of MQ, z/OS, and an understanding of z/OS programming and mainframe dependencies Experience with change management, incident practices, and security exits Skilled in COBOL, C, or Java programming knowledge on z/OS Nice to Have
Experience in securities or financial services industry Familiarity with MQ application programming on mainframe No C2C, 3rd party candidates, or relocation for this role. For finer details on how
