Qualifications:
Master’s degree or higher with a major emphasis in school psychology.
Have or be eligible for an Alaska Type C special services certificate with an applicable endorsement for school psychology.
Experience in administering, scoring, and interpreting a wide range of psychological tests.
Knowledge of state and federal special education regulations; the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs); and experience translating evaluation data into concrete educational prescriptions.
Must hold and maintain a valid State of Alaska driver’s license and the ability to receive and maintain access to military bases.

School psychologists provide direct support and interventions to students, consult with teachers, families, and other school-employed mental health professionals, work with school administrators to improve school-wide practices and policies, and collaborate with community providers to coordinate services. They aim to improve academic achievement, support diverse learners, promote positive behavior and mental health, create safe school climates, and strengthen school-family partnerships.

Salary: Determined by the FEA Negotiated Agreement
