Safety Program Excellence & Implementation
- Drive comprehensive safety programs through data-driven strategies. Lead daily safety audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments. Implement innovative solutions to prevent injuries. Deliver engaging safety training and champion continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety while maintaining operational efficiency. Associate Advocacy & Cultural Leadership
- Serve as a trusted safety advisor and advocate for associate wellbeing. Build partnerships across the organization, foster a culture where safety is everyone’s priority, and transform safety data into narratives that drive engagement and positive change. Responsibilities
Maintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly metrics to report to onsite management teams and corporate reporting systems. Support management efforts to ensure compliance with all corporate program expectations and applicable federal and state laws. Conduct risk assessments related to jobs performed (Job Hazard Analysis) and new equipment introductions. Recommend appropriate risk mitigation measures to management, including ergonomics. Available to work flexible shifts including days, nights and/or weekends. Maintain emergency response readiness and assist in emergencies as needed. Lead and participate in safety-related initiatives, training, and communication efforts. Qualifications
Knowledge of OSHA regulations, specifically 29 CFR 1910. Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a Bachelor’s degree in an EHS-related field or equivalent experience; or 6 months experience in a safety-related role within Amazon. Minimum 1 year in an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) field or related experience. Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel in a professional capacity. Experience maintaining confidentiality in matters involving security and/or personnel issues in the workplace. Experience in workers’ compensation case management. Strong communication, teamwork, analysis, judgment, and customer focus skills. Experience leading and managing a team; ability to analyze accident data, new processes, and machinery for safety concerns; conduct job hazard and job safety analyses. Experience in emergency response and current First Aid and CPR certification. Must be willing to work any shift based on availability. Additional Information
