Other Conditions: For placement in department adjunct lecturer pool for Fall 2023, Spring 2024, and Summer 2024. Mainly part-time employment, contingent on approval to fill, course offerings, position clearance, availability of funds, and sufficient enrollment. Appointments offered on a semester basis.

Duties and Responsibilities: To teach basic language skill courses in the target language. Minimum Qualifications: B.A. degree in American Sign Language, Sign Language Teaching, Deaf Studies, Sign Language Interpreting, Linguistics, Education, or a related field and 3 years of experience in Teaching ASL at the university level or M.A. degree in American Sign Language, Sign Language Teaching, Deaf Studies, Sign Linguistics or a related field preferred. Native or near-native proficiency in ASL. Desirable Qualifications: 5 years or more of experience teaching ASL at the university level.
