We are seeking a talented and collaborative Embedded Firmware Developer to join our onsite engineering team in St. Louis, MO. This role involves hands-on firmware development, board bring-up, and hardware troubleshooting for custom embedded systems using NXP, STMicroelectronics, and Atmel microcontrollers. Responsibilities Develop and maintain embedded firmware for custom systems. Conduct board bring-up and troubleshoot hardware issues. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with clients. Work with microcontrollers from NXP, STMicroelectronics, and Atmel. Utilize proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems. Read and interpret schematics and datasheets. Debug and troubleshoot at both hardware and firmware levels. Use version control systems such as Git. Work onsite 4 days a week. Essential Skills Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field. 3+ years of experience in embedded firmware development. Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems. Experience with NXP (Kinetis/i.MX), STMicro (STM32), and Atmel (AVR/SAM) microcontrollers. Familiarity with RTOS or bare-metal systems. Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills. Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git). Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with bootloaders and firmware update mechanisms. Knowledge of low-power design techniques. Familiarity with wireless protocols (BLE, Wi-Fi, Zigbee). Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash) for test automation. Exposure to EMC/ESD compliance and hardware validation testing. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $70.00/hr.
