Job Description:
Pay Range: $53.50hr - $58.50hr Responsibilities
The Data Modeler/Database Support Specialist will be responsible for designing, documenting, and maintaining logical and physical data models while supporting Oracle and SQL Server environments. The role requires expertise in ERwin Data Modeler and database administration best practices to ensure data integrity, scalability, and performance. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into data models, support production systems, and contribute to data governance and compliance efforts. Create and update logical and physical data models and maintain documentation using ERwin Data Modeler. Perform reverse and forward engineering of database structures to align with system requirements. Establish and maintain best practices for data modeling, metadata management, and documentation. Ensure database designs support scalability, integrity, and performance requirements. Identify and resolve data integrity and consistency issues, providing recommendations and reports as needed. Assist with duplicate data resolution initiatives. Collaborate with data architects, DBAs, developers, and business analysts to translate business requirements into accurate data models. Manage version control of data models and maintain model repositories. Support data governance and compliance initiatives through robust data modeling strategies. Perform data modeling activities for both Oracle and MS SQL databases as required. Provide production support for Oracle and MS SQL databases as directed by the DBA Manager. Requirement/Must Have (Hard Skills)
3+ years of professional data modeling experience using ERwin Data Modeler or a similar tool. Strong experience with Oracle 18/19 DBA and/or SQL Server 2019/2022 administration. Requirement/Must Have (Soft Skills)
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders. High attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Nice-to-Have (Hard Skills)
3+ years of experience with database backup and restore operations. SQL Server DBA certification. Experience with DD Boost to support backup and restore operations for Oracle databases. Experience with Oracle Grid Control and Oracle Client. Qualification and Education
Minimum: High School Diploma required.
