Peraton is seeking an experienced
Systems Administrator
to join our
SITE III Directorate Operations (DO)
team supporting the U.S. Intelligence Community. This role focuses on managing complex enterprise environments built on Oracle Solaris infrastructure in support of mission-critical systems that deliver strategic advantage to warfighters, defense planners, and policymakers. You will contribute to the sustainment and enhancement of mission applications that enable global operations as part of a high-performing team supporting national defense and intelligence programs. What You\'ll Do
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, configuring, and supporting Oracle Solaris-based infrastructure and hardware across a secure enterprise environment. Responsibilities include: Administering Oracle Solaris (versions 10, 11.2, 11.3, 11.4) systems Managing Sun/Oracle SPARC and x86 hardware, switches, and storage Configuring and maintaining Sun/Oracle switches Building and managing IPS repositories and LDOMs (Logical Domains) Performing disk management, including physical, ZFS, and virtual disks under LDOM Executing backup and recovery operations, including ZFS snapshots, BE Admin, and LDOM exports Managing Solaris antivirus and IPF (Internet Protocol Filter) configurations Administering and configuring Trusted Solaris environments Performing disaster recovery and recovering systems from hardware failures Supporting overall Solaris system performance, security hardening, and patching Qualifications
Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Required Qualifications
Active TS/SCI or SCI eligibility and active polygraph or ability to obtain a polygraph Security+ certification (DoD 8570 compliance) Extensive experience with Sun/Oracle hardware, including SPARC and x86 servers, switches, and storage Strong knowledge of Solaris OS, specifically versions 10, 11.2, 11.3, and 11.4 Proven expertise in: Sun/Oracle switch configuration Building and managing LDOMs Managing IPS repositories ZFS and disk management (physical and virtual) Backup and recovery, including ZFS snapshots, BE Admin, and LDOM exports Trusted Solaris configuration and management Solaris antivirus and IPF configuration Desired Qualifications
Experience with Windows Active Directory for user, group, and device management Knowledge of PBIS (PowerBroker Identity Services) for Solaris AD integration Familiarity with Nutanix VM management Exposure to Oracle Linux, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), and CentOS Experience with Oracle Database, including RAC (Real Application Clusters), ASM (Automatic Storage Management), and RMAN (Recovery Manager) for backups and recovery Benefits

Target Salary Range: $135,000 - $216,000. Salary is determined by scope and responsibilities, experience, education, knowledge, skills, and location. Overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus may apply. EEO
