Associate Software Security Engineer

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Support new product development teams to commercialize new product and support business initiatives
Provide cyber security support for new products as well as changes to existing products
Specify, design, implement, verify, validate, debug, and support security related software, software tools and utilities across the Inspire system
Participate in threat modeling, security reviews, and security risk assessments
Translate the technical findings from security assessments into relevant, actionable information for development teams
Ensure all quality system, regulatory, legal, and business requirements are met in the course of product development and market delivery
Complete training requirements and competency confirmations as required for this position within the required timeline
Comply with applicable quality system procedures/policies and make suggestions for continuous process improvement
QUALIFICATIONS
Educational Requirements:
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software, Engineering or related field.
Preferred
Master's degree in Computer Science, Software, Engineering or related field.
Required Experience:
Experience designing, developing, and delivering innovative medical technology
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with both internal and external stakeholders
Experience with Python, Git, C, C++, Java, Jira, and the MS Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Preferred Experience:
Active implantable medical product development experience
Experience with Wireshark, Nmap, and Ghidra
Understanding of software and firmware development, including testing and corresponding standards
