Job Type: SENIOR ENGINEER - SUBSTATION DESIGN Job Type: Full-Time(FTE) Experience: 5+ years Industry: Energy - Utilities Job Category: Engineering - Electrical Basic Purpose: Provide comprehensive engineering design services for substation facilities, and to ensure that these facilities are constructed on schedule and within committed resource allocations. Provide leadership, training, and direction to fellow staff members. Responsibilities
Develops economical, technically feasible, reliable substation physical and control designs with minimal supervision and guidance. Ensures quality control on assigned projects by providing construction support as needed, including coordination with construction forces and job site inspections. Perform related duties as assigned. Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from accredited school and 5 years industry experience as a practicing engineer, and must be a licensed PE. If no PE license then must have 8+ years as a practicing engineer. Specialized Knowledge and Skills: Substation Engineering; PE Electrical Engineering; Analytical, interpersonal and communication with company personnel, customers, and regulatory agencies; Multi-tasking, leadership, research, analysis, project management, problem-solving and decision-making. Equipment and Applications: PCs, word processing, spreadsheet and database software. Work Environment
General office environment with some field work for supervision.
