We are growing and have opportunities for Commercial Credit Analysts / Underwriters on our CRE Portfolio Monitoring team. This role primarily manages the loan portfolio through annual credit reviews, required covenant testing, and borrowing base testing when applicable. You will assign asset quality ratings in a fast-paced, high-volume environment by performing detailed financial analysis to understand borrower credit risk. You will collaborate with Relationship Managers and internal support staff to provide credit expertise and monitor the portfolio. We are an in-office environment with locations including Evansville IN, Chicago IL (Rosemont area and LaSalle St), Hickory Hills IL, Milwaukee, Lake Elmo St Paul, and Nashville. Key Accountabilities

Portfolio Monitoring Complete annual credit reviews and required covenant testing for all existing borrowers in the CRE portfolio. Monitor borrowing base lines of credit. Accurately assign asset quality ratings (AQR). Work with assigned Relationship Managers to address default situations, payment delinquencies, review maturing notes, monitor financial information, and manage other reports as required. Underwriters may monitor overlines and Treasury Management/ACH risk reports or other trends, as appropriate. Partner with respective Relationship Managers Provide credit expertise using a consultative approach; applying knowledge of ONB guidelines/policies, risk assessment and analysis; effectively communicate risks, questions, and options to RM seeking win-win solutions. Deliver exceptional internal customer service and adopt new processes and tools as available. Develop and enhance knowledge of assigned segmentation and portfolio using internal and external resources. Collaborate with associates on revenue-generating sales teams and support teams to ensure a collaborative, empowered environment. Underwrite Loans (when needed) Underwrite credit requests focusing on due diligence, risk assessment and asset quality ratings (AQR). Meet quality standards per ONB underwriting guidelines; evaluations by Loan Review, OCC, or others may identify issues. Meet or exceed productivity expectations for annual credit approval memorandum (CAM) volume. Produce high-quality and accurate analysis while maintaining efficiency in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and meeting client-driven response timelines. Key Competencies for Position

Demonstrate 3–7 years of progressive Commercial Credit experience for CRE. Ability to independently analyze financial statements and assess risks across industries. Understanding of loan structuring, borrowing causes and lending regulations; ability to comply with ONB lending policies. Ability to make sound independent decisions and communicate them clearly in a fast-paced environment. Active listening, issue identification, and real-time problem solving; able to work collaboratively and independently. Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or equivalent experience.
