Leads, motivates, develops and supervises the daily operations of the Wholesale Banking Loan Closer team. Delegates work, monitors workflow, volume and timelines; expedites efforts to meet demands and service level agreements. Resolves conflicts related to daily functions through research, analysis, trend identification, and communicating with applicable parties. Reviews and reports wholesale banking metrics and performs trend analysis. Performs quality review checks of wholesale loans to ensure consistency and accuracy in documentation, due diligence, and adherence to federal regulations, compliance requirements, and loan policy. Identifies coaching opportunities and provides training assistance to team members. Assists in development, implementation, and maintenance of commercial operational procedures and processes for commercial loans, ensuring alignment with lending compliance and regulations. Assists with talent acquisition tasks, including recruitment, interviewing, and hiring for the Wholesale Banking Loan Closer role. Prepares and monitors management reports (monthly production, quality control reviews, quarterly SLAs, compliance audits, and post-closing review reports). Collaborates on and occasionally leads key project initiatives related to the Commercial Hubs. Performs duties of the Wholesale Banking Loan Closer as needed. Required Knowledge, Skills And Competencies
Demonstrates leadership with the ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships; coaches, inspires, mentors and retains a high-performing team. Advanced knowledge of a wide array of commercial loan types (Construction, Participations, Syndications, Commercial Construction, Asset Based lending, Swaps) and their documentation for real estate and non-real estate transactions. Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex attorney-prepared commercial loan documents. Advanced critical thinking to research, analyze, evaluate options, draw conclusions, and make recommendations considering risk and impact. In-depth knowledge of commercial loan compliance policy, closing processes, and banking regulatory requirements for complex loans. Effective professional communication; ability to plan, schedule, and organize to meet goals within time frames. Provides a high level of interactive service, builds relationships, and addresses identified needs. Strong computer and organizational skills, including Microsoft Office, loan documentation systems, cloud-based systems, and shared drives. Industry And Work Experience
7 or more years as a Commercial Loan Closing Coordinator or equivalent role. Leader ship experience required; management experience preferred. Academic
High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Benefits Available To Employees
