High School Counselor, (1.0 FTE), Full Time, Temporary for the 2025-2026 school year. Position anticipated to begin as soon as possible and end June 15, 2026. Bilingual Spanish/English preferred. Collaborate with the Principal and school leadership team to implement the school guidance and counseling program based on the American School Counseling Association (ASCA) model. Provide proactive leadership to engage stakeholders in delivering programs and services that support students’ social-emotional development, academic achievement, and career preparation. Deliver counseling services appropriate to the level of the school (elementary, middle, or high school). License Requirement
Must hold or be able to obtain a valid Oregon School Counseling License. Benefits

Annual Salary Range (2025-2026): $58,788 - $111,463 (193-Day Contract). Initial placement based on education and experience. Salary reflects 1.0 FTE; actual salary prorated based on FTE and start date. Stipends prorated based on 1.0 FTE and start/end dates of position/assignment. Eligible stipends: $2,500 if certified by NBPTS; $3,000 if you hold a PhD or EdD. Retirement
Participation in Oregon Public Employee Retirement System (PERS/OPSRP). Employer contributions plus mandatory employee portion. 6% employee contribution after eligibility (six full calendar months in qualifying position). Part-time employees working at least six months and 600 hours per calendar year qualify. Minimum Qualifications
Experience working with culturally diverse families and communities or demonstrated commitment to engaging a diverse population; strong communication with parents, students, and staff. Degree in school counseling and valid state (TSPC) school counselor certification. Evidence of ongoing professional learning and commitment to growth. Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to apply diverse counseling models. Ability to collaborate effectively within a professional learning community. Strong assessment, analytical, and diagnostic skills; knowledge of child and adolescent development. Knowledge and skill in using technology to aid assessment, planning, and implementation of the counseling program. Ability to lead and facilitate staff meetings, planning processes, and cultural community projects. Understanding of the ASCA comprehensive school-counseling model. Equal Opportunity
