Assigned Group Leader Position Overview: AMA Group is looking for a senior engineer who is considered skilled and proficient in the design of their discipline. You will be responsible for several concurrent projects and manage a significant amount of work as a task manager. This role will follow our technical path where you will be part of the production team utilizing AutoCAD and Revit for Electrical designs daily. This is a career-level position. You will conduct complex work important to the organization and contribute to the internal training and development program. Your title within the company will be Associate. Role Responsibilities: As an Associate Electrical engineer, you will be responsible for the internal growth of each project. As a subject matter expert, the daily design activities will flow through your desk. In your role, you will: Produce complete electrical systems design drawings in accordance with the code Collaborate in solving a variety of complex engineering problems (e.g., conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, difficult coordination requirements) Organize technical and financial proposals for new work Keep senior staff informed of important and relevant service/design decisions and the objectives of the client are achieved Establish a strong relationship with the design team Make sure you are responding to requests and communicating information accurately and in a timely manner Requirements Education : Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering required; PE highly preferred Minimum 7 years of experience in Electrical engineering Minimum of 5 years of experience in the MEP space Expert knowledge of building codes and standards, engineering drafting standards, Electrical engineering standards, and other trades Expert understanding of the construction process and interpretation of construction drawings Ability to accept a high degree of responsibility in a team-based organization, combined with the ability to work independently Excellent technical knowledge of electrical systems; ability to investigate, identify and provide solutions to technical problems Experience in the preparation of technical reports for delivery direct to a client audience Expert skills with AutoCAD and Revit Benefits Overview Health & Welfare : Medical, dental, vision, prescription drug benefits, company-paid short term and long term disability, basic group life and AD&D, and mental wellness support through Spring Health.
