Finance Manager – Gas Business Division Location:
Houston, TX Base pay
$130,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr Key Responsibilities
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for shale gas assets from a shareholder view. Prepare reports on production, costs, capital spend, and price impacts. Track key shale costs like drilling, completions, transport, and operations. Maintain financial models and run scenarios for shale project planning. Support M&A analysis by coordinating data and validating technical inputs. Help manage hedging strategies and assess market risk exposure. Provide financial analysis for IPO prep, asset sales, and benchmarking. Evaluate new investments in gas and power and build industry connections. Qualifications
Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; CPA/CFA a plus. 3-5 years in finance, planning, or upstream energy, ideally with shale experience. Skilled in DCF, IRR, and NPV modeling for shale assets. Knowledge of shale operations, including decline curves and drilling costs. Familiar with hedging strategies and managing commodity risk. Understanding of GAAP and IFRS accounting standards. Strong analytical skills and ability to collaborate across teams. Fluent in English; Japanese language skills are a bonus. Application details
