Base pay range
$70,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr Full-Time Employee General Overview The SBA Commercial Lender is responsible for cultivating and maintaining relationships with financial professionals, referral partners, and business clients. This role plays a key part in identifying prospective borrowers and supporting the needs of the small business community through effective SBA loan solutions. Responsibilities Identify and engage with SBA loan applicants; conduct interviews and on-site visits as needed Collect and analyze financial statements, credit reports, appraisals, and other supporting documents Underwrite and present SBA loan requests for internal credit approval Prepare and submit complete SBA loan packages for review and authorization by SBA officials Respond to inquiries and follow-up requests from SBA District Offices Manage and monitor the performance of assigned loan portfolio Evaluate and process loan servicing actions as required Conduct borrower outreach for payment collection and account follow-up Stay informed of current SBA programs, policies, and regulatory updates Ensure operational procedures comply with SBA Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to Commercial Lending Officers. Requirements High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or accounting preferred Minimum of five years of experience in SBA lending, including 7(a), 504, and SBA Express programs Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on relationship-building and client service Excellent verbal and written communication skills for both internal collaboration and client interaction Seniority level
