This role is hybrid, with an established schedule of in-person work required at an assigned work location. Job Summary Research and deliver fact-based analysis which is critical to the Company's strategic business decisions to Regulatory Affairs management as well as DTE executive management. Integrate corporate, business unit, and regulatory strategies into cohesive, executable plans. Issue analysis and corresponding development of strategic positions that integrate company and business unit regulatory strategies. Develop competitive methodologies at the corporate and business unit levels that are equally sensitive priorities, as well as regulatory constraints. Issue analysis of regulatory and legislative policy dynamics that protect the Company's competitive interests. Maintain working knowledge of state-of-the-art structural and public economic issues to protect the Company's interests as energy public policy evolves. Provide expertise in regulatory matters to other company work units. Create and maintain relationships with regulators and other policymakers to assure the Company retains a forum to advocate its views on policy and ratemaking. Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, Finance, Public Administration or other related discipline. Seven years of demonstrated effectiveness covering such areas as regulatory and governmental compliance, litigation, rates, corporate policy or corporate policy development based on regulatory rules. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in the aforementioned areas or Juris Doctorate degree. Strong utility background preferred. Other Requirements Broad understanding of the Company's business. Expert in the strategy development process. Working knowledge of the public policy development process. Superior problem solving skills. Demonstrated ability to provide leadership and guidance to others. Exceptional communication skills and the ability to listen, synthesize, and process outside input. Strong advocacy skills. Proficient verbal, nonverbal, written, and presentation skills. Demonstrated strong technical skills in Microsoft applications primarily PowerPoint and Excel.
