Negotiate all privacy agreements for customers, vendors, and partners (including DPAs, BAAs, and others) and develop templates, contracting support materials, playbooks and processes. Provide internal and customer-facing support for privacy inquiries and due diligence. Develop and implement privacy initiatives and policies across Vonage. Assess privacy risk across Vonage (including through vendor reviews, privacy impact assessments, privacy-by-design initiatives, and ad hoc guidance). Support response to data subject rights requests. Research global privacy laws and HIPAA and advise various business functions (e.g., marketing, product, finance, sales) within privacy operations. Provide litigation and incident response support. Manage initiatives to develop and mature privacy practices across the organization. Advise on new privacy laws, regulations, and industry trends. Manage day-to-day support of privacy program. Support development for employees and partner privacy training. Qualifications
Required What you will bring: 5+ years of experience working in privacy with in-house experience in a privacy department a plus. Expert legal or regulatory skills in privacy and data protection, and excellent understanding of the global privacy landscape in technology and online businesses. Extensive experience with contract review and negotiation and playbook development. Demonstrated ability to identify and solve problems in a complex technology and business environment by creating simple, repeatable and actionable solutions and policy positions. Independence and versatile in responding to a wide variety of privacy-related topics. Excellent written and verbal communication, legal research and analysis skills. Desirable Comfortable with ambiguity. Persistence to drive change over time. Results oriented, proactive, responsible, pragmatic and ethical person with a passion for privacy and interest in technologies. Experience with telecommunications industry or CPaaS and APIs is a plus. IAPP (CIPP/E, CIPP/US) or other privacy certifications. Experience with OneTrust or similar privacy management software a plus.
