Paint walls, equipment, buildings, and other structural surfaces using brushes, rollers, and spray guns. May remove old paint to prepare surface prior to painting. Apply paint to building and other structures using a brush, rollers, or spray gun. Cover surfaces with drop cloths or masking tape and paper to protect surfaces during painting. Fill cracks, holes, and joints with caulk, putty, plaster or other fillers. Remove fixtures such as doorknobs and switch covers prior to painting. Remove old finishes by stripping, sanding and wire brushing. Smooth surfaces using sandpaper, scrapers, brushes, and steel wool. Erect scaffolding or set up ladders to work at heights. Follow established safety regulations, including fire protection and infection control. Follow safety procedures when performing tasks and/or working with equipment. Attend and participate in continuing education programs to stay current in the field and maintain licenses/certifications as required. Perform other related duties as directed by supervisor. Qualifications
High school or equivalent. 2-4 years’ experience in painting or a related field. Some overnight travel may be required. Ability to make fast, simple repeated movements of the fingers, hand, and wrist; and to keep hand and arm steady during work. Proficiency with tools and equipment used in painting tasks. Ability to perform work that meets PruittHealth’s standards and to follow safety standards of the company and Health Care Centers. Demonstrate good workmanship in a neat and timely manner; able to work under supervision and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, coworkers, and the public. Ability to exercise independent judgment within the limits of the position. Work Environment & Scheduling
Work indoors majority of the time. Guaranteed 40 hours; 4-10 hour days, 3 day weekends. Transportation provided; meals and hotels covered. Schedule: Full-time, 1st Shift. Other
