FP&A consultant
with the skills to build a forecasting model from the ground up? Our client is seeking a Senior FP&A Contractor to provide immediate expertise in forecasting, modeling, and financial planning. This is a unique opportunity to step into a high-impact role supporting executive leadership, helping to design reporting, variance analysis, and forward-looking forecasts for a complex, multi-entity business. The client needs someone who can quickly create and implement a consolidated forecasting model, partner with accounting and business unit leaders, and deliver insights that drive decision-making in a fast-paced environment. Job Responsibilities: Build and own a comprehensive forecasting model consolidating multiple revenue streams and cost lines. Develop monthly rolling forecasts with variance analysis to plan and actuals. Transition the business from top-down budgeting to zero-based budgeting by cost center. Partner with accounting and operating leaders to align metrics with financial forecasts. Deliver forward-looking financial reporting and provide executive-ready insights and recommendations. Strengthen reporting processes and provide analytical rigor to support performance. Requirements: Education/Certification: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required; CPA/MBA preferred. Experience: 8–15+ years of progressive FP&A/finance experience with significant exposure to forecasting, modeling, and business partnering. Industry Background: Technology, software, or services industry strongly preferred; multi-entity or project-based experience a plus. Skills: Advanced Excel modeling (VLOOKUPs, HLOOKUPs, pivot tables, scenario modeling), rolling forecasts, variance analysis, and zero-based budgeting. Strong analytical mindset and ability to design models from scratch. Soft Skills: Able to “drop in” quickly, work independently, and communicate effectively with executive leadership and cross-functional teams. Seniority level
