experienced IT Business Consultant – Advanced
to join our team on a staff augmentation basis. The ideal candidate will act as a primary liaison between IT and business units, ensuring alignment of technical solutions with organizational goals. This role requires strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills to facilitate effective collaboration, demand management, and solution design. Responsibilities
Collect and document business requirements from stakeholders through interviews, workshops, and analysis sessions. Analyze demand patterns, identify trends, and evaluate feasibility against technical constraints. Categorize and prioritize requests based on urgency, complexity, and strategic alignment. Manage the IT demand pipeline, balancing competing priorities and resources. Create user guides, process documentation, and self-service resources. Implement automated feedback and continuous improvement workflows. Track enhancements and maintain daily reporting activities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to negotiate deliverables and ensure successful project outcomes. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. Professional certifications preferred (e.g., PMP, CBAP, ITIL). Experience
7+ years of combined IT and business experience. 3+ years in business analysis, project management, or IT planning. Proven experience working with senior leadership and cross-functional teams. Background in both technical and business environments. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong knowledge of IT service management frameworks (ITIL, COBIT). Proficiency in business analysis, project management, and governance processes. Familiarity with IT infrastructure, systems architecture, and emerging technologies. Understanding of budgeting, cost analysis, and ROI calculations. Expertise in organizational change management and stakeholder engagement. Skilled in data analysis, reporting, and demand management tools. Ability to prioritize, influence, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication and negotiation skills across technical and non-technical teams. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Ability to lead cross-functional teams and promote continuous improvement. Self-motivated with strong initiative and minimal supervision needed. Customer service-oriented, with the ability to assess and meet client needs. Flexible, adaptable to changing priorities, and open to process improvements. Effective interpersonal and leadership skills to motivate and inspire teams. Strong commitment to quality assurance and best practices.
