Controller
to oversee all financial operations and help drive the hotel’s continued success. About the Role: As Controller, you will manage all aspects of hotel accounting and financial reporting, ensuring compliance with internal controls, brand standards, and regulatory requirements. This leadership role partners closely with the General Manager and ownership to guide strategic financial planning and day-to-day operations. Key Responsibilities: Manage daily accounting functions: AP/AR, payroll, general ledger, reconciliations, financial reporting Prepare monthly P&L statements, forecasts, and budgets Ensure compliance with internal controls, brand standards, and local/state/federal regulations Oversee credit, billing, and cash handling procedures Lead and develop the accounting team, including hiring, training, and performance management Coordinate audits and support ownership and asset management reporting Work cross-functionally with hotel departments to optimize financial performance Preferred Systems Knowledge: We’re looking for someone with strong proficiency in the following systems: QuickBooks ADP (Payroll/HR) Micros/Oracle (POS) Microsoft Excel (Advanced level preferred) Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience) Minimum 5 years in hotel or hospitality accounting leadership Solid understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial compliance Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills Experience working with Marriott brand standards is a plus What We Offer: Salary: $85,000 – $90,000 per year Monthly performance bonus Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holidays Career advancement opportunities within a growing hotel portfolio Be part of the leadership team at one of Pasadena’s newest and most exciting hotels If you’re a detail-oriented, hospitality-driven accounting professional ready to make an impact — we want to hear from you.
