A² Systems Engineering, Inc., a veteran-owned business, is seeking to immediately hire a Space Systems Risk Management Analyst. The candidate will provide support to various Space Systems Command (SSC) programs on behalf of the Space Systems Chief Engineer (SSC/BZE), located in El Segundo, CA.
The successful candidate should be skilled in understanding, mitigating, and managing technical program risk. Candidates should be able to demonstrate a proactive history of effective risk management throughout a program’s acquisition lifecycle and a demonstrated ability to coordinate between Government organizations and summarize information for presentations to various stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Provide overall risk management support, as well as engineering support to advanced research and development programs
Develop the risk management strategy for documenting the risk management process within the organization
Develop and maintain a risk management database and actively track risks throughout the programs
Submit risk reports to support program leadership decision points and program level meetings/briefings
Develop, implement, and document the application of risk metrics and prepare accurate, thorough, and complete risk reports
Represent the Risk Management Program at leadership meetings, conduct workshops, and hold one-on-one meetings to actively assist in risk tracking and mitigation
Implement a risk management working group and risk assessment board, risk tools, practices and policies to manage risk to the greatest extent practical
Support the Risk Management process as delineated in the DoD Risk Management Guide for Defense Acquisition Programs
Support program management with communication to stakeholders, via presentations, briefings, the customer’s process for managing the program’s risks, issues, and opportunities
Qualifications:
Minimum 10 years’ experience with at least 5 years of Risk Management experience in a DoD Program Office, preferably space systems, space operations, acquisitions and/or program management for USAF/USSF
Background in areas such as acquisitions, technology processes and USSF/USAF requirements flow helpful
Preferred knowledge of Higher Headquarters Air Force or Space Systems Command risk processes and procedures and the ability to speak/write Air Force or Space Force risk management terminology appropriately
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline such as systems or electrical engineering; Master’s degree preferred
Clearance Requirements:
Active DoD Top Secret clearance with eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) with no disqualifying security issues that will deem a candidate ineligible for access
Salary Range: $130,000/yr – $176,000/yr · Full-time starting salary will ultimately depend on a number of differentiating factors, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories
