Manager, Software Engineering - Data Cloud
Position Overview:

We are seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead our Data Cloud engineering team in building the next generation of SaaS-based medical platforms. As the
Manager of Data Cloud Engineering , you will lead a team of talented cloud software engineers responsible for designing, building, and delivering secure, scalable cloud applications and services. You'll work cross-functionally with product, architecture, QA, and operations teams, while mentoring engineers and driving technical excellence. This role blends hands-on technical leadership with strategic team management.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a Scrum team of cloud software engineers (local and remote). Collaborate with product and architecture teams to define and deliver cloud-native solutions. Mentor and coach engineers, fostering growth and promoting best practices. Ensure quality and consistency in software architecture and implementation Drive adoption of cloud monitoring tools (e.g., Datadog, CloudWatch) and performance optimization. Ensure high-quality software through code reviews, testing, and CI/CD practices. Support production systems and ensure compliance with FDA, HIPAA, and internal SOPs. Provide strategic input to leadership and contribute to long-term planning. Be prepared for hands-on coding and code reviews when required Education and Experience:
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or related field. 10+ years of software development experience. 5+ years of experience leading software development teams for cloud or web-based applications. Experience with complete product development lifecycle Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills Skilled in effectively organizing team resources, improving processes and making strategic decisions to achieve company goals Strong project management skills and proactive approach to solving problems. Excellent communication and leadership skills Preferred Skills and Competencies:
Strong understanding of cloud and microservices-based Architecture Experience with AWS services, Java/Spring Boot, and CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with data engineering, performance tuning, and observability tools. Experience in regulated industries (e.g., medical devices) is a plus. Physical Requirements (if applicable):
Occasional business travel within US and globally Off-hour availability for critical issues
NOTE: This position is eligible for hybrid working arrangements and requires on-site work from an Insulet office at least three (3) days per week. #LI-Hybrid
Additional Information: The US base salary range for this full-time position is $148,200.00 - $222,300.00. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the primary work location in the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
