BTF encourages North Texas nonprofits to explore formal, long-term collaborations—such as mergers, asset transfers, parent-subsidiary structures, or joint ventures—as a strategy for growth and sustainability. The goal is to ensure the Dallas County nonprofit ecosystem is positioned to achieve deeper systematic change, eliminate duplicity in cost and services, as well as maximize funder investment opportunities. To date, BTF has awarded over $6.7 million in grants to more than 300 organizations working across 83 collaborative efforts. BTF is part of the national Sustained Collaboration Network, which provides funding, insights, and advisory resources to amplify nonprofit impact through strategic collaboration.
