The Opportunity:
We seek a dynamic and experienced Director, Stakeholder Engagement Strategy & Operations to lead the global strategy, planning, and execution of medical congress activities across the U.S., EU, and APAC. Responsibilities include: Congress Strategy & Execution: Develop and set a global engagement framework and comprehensive global congress strategy for Medical Affairs, across all oncology therapeutic areas. Drive alignment across internal and external stakeholders on strategic objectives, scientific messaging, and cross-functional engagement plans. Ensure high-quality, compliant execution of congress activities including medical booths, symposia, satellite events, and scientific sessions. Lead Medical Affairs planning for priority congresses in the U.S., EU, and APAC regions. Deliver medical leadership and consistent excellence in congressing through society relationship management and partnership with local markets and cross-functional partners. Advisory Board Strategy & Operations: Oversee Medical Affairs advisory board strategy and operations, with emphasis on integration with global congress planning. Ensure compliant planning, execution, and documentation of global and regional advisory boards aligned with medical strategy. Develop processes for compliant cross-functional sharing of advisory board insights. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Commercial, Clinical Development, and Research to ensure consistent communication and scientific engagement while maintaining appropriate governance and firewalls. Act as the central coordination point for cross-functional teams to align on congress priorities, deliverables, and messaging. Operational Leadership & Governance: Lead operational planning, budgeting, and vendor management for global congresses and advisory boards. Ensure compliance with global and regional regulatory requirements. Required Skills, Experience and Education: Advanced degree (MS, PharmD, PhD or equivalent in life sciences). 10+ years’ experience in Medical Affairs within biotech/pharma. 5+ years in global congress strategy and operations. Experience leading global oncology congresses and advisory boards across U.S., EU, and APAC regions. Preferred Skills: Experience in early/late-phase development and product launch preparation in oncology. Understanding of global medical congress operations and digital engagement tools.
