We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on
Process Development Engineer
to join our Advanced Process Team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of mechanical, electrical, and materials engineering, and who has a strong background in both internal and external manufacturing environments. You will play a critical role in developing, scaling, and transferring new product designs into production, working closely with suppliers and cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities
Lead process development for small electro-mechanical assemblies, including PCBA, wire bonding, and thermal/mechanical integration. Collaborate with internal design and external manufacturing teams to drive NPI and design transfer activities. Develop and optimize assembly and test methods for new products. Write Statements of Work (SOWs), define process requirements, and manage project plans. Partner with suppliers to develop and validate manufacturing processes, troubleshoot tooling and assembly issues, and ensure readiness for production. Act as a 50/50 hybrid between project management and hands-on process engineering. Support and manage process equipment selection, qualification, and integration. Interface with cross-functional teams including mechanical design, electrical engineering, and operations. Preferred Qualifications
5–7+ years of experience in process development, manufacturing engineering, or similar Experience working with products from NPI/design stage, to development (building manufacturing lines) Background in mechanical, electrical, or materials engineering. Experience with companies like Intel, Applied Materials, or HP is a plus. Proven track record of working with suppliers to develop and scale processes. Familiarity with wafer development or managing PSMCs is a strong advantage. Strong understanding of thermal coding, PCBA processes, and mechanical assemblies. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Nice to Have
Experience in process integrator roles or advanced process teams. Exposure to both internal and external manufacturing environments. Ability to support struggling suppliers with tooling, BFM, or assembly challenges. Seniority level and Employment type
